In the Heart of Texas Healing the Hearts of Children

As summer ends, the children here enjoyed a day of water fun activities a couple of weeks ago.  A number of generous donations were made to the home recently requesting a special event for the children.  With the funds, two waterslides were rented for the day, the one shown here being multi-story in height.  The home presently helps about thirty children.

Recent summer activities included hosting a number of youth groups who helped with many projects on campus.  In these photographs, our youth, youth and leaders from the Edgewood Church of Christ, and home staff work together to clean brush, remodel, and make the campus more workable and beautiful.

Many of the tasks centered on cleaning the 35 acres that were purchased last year for future growth of the home's mission helping children.  Before this important event, the home had about 23 acres and due to flood plane concerns, almost no options for new structure locations.
