During this year of opportunities and challenges, the children and staff at Cherokee Home for Children are very thankful for the generous and giving hearts that help make our work a success.

Cherokee Home for Children is a basic care residential children's home located near the community of Cherokee, on the upper edge of the Texas hill country, about 90 northwest of Austin, 100 miles north of San Antonio, and 150 miles southeast of Abilene.

Licensed by the state of Texas for residential care for youth from 2 through 17 years of age,  the home also offers foster care.  It is supported by Churches of Christ, individuals, and concerned business and civic organizations and leaders.

Services to children and families are provided at no costs for private placements.
